Service Description

Defensive Pistol 1 is our introduction to defensive pistol and is open to all levels of shooters. We will reinforce your handgun fundamentals, as well as work on shooting from concealment. You will learn to properly carry your concealed handgun, develop a proper draw stroke and engage targets effectively. During this class we will discuss liability and the legal process during a defensive firearm incident. This is a must-attend class if you plan on carrying a handgun for personal defense in public or at home! At HCTG we focus on training and building shooters — we don’t just run you through drills. (This class will be held outdoors on a private range. Ammo will need to be purchased prior to arriving for class) *SERPA STYLE HOLSTERS & LEATHER HOLSTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN OUR CLASSES* Equipment Requirements: • Semi-Auto handgun • 3 magazines (minimum) • Spare magazine pouch • 500 rounds of ammunition • Quality outside or inside the waistband holster • Eye & ear protection • Proper clothing (no open toe shoes or sandals, low-cut tops or tank tops) • Water & lunch (there are no restaurants in the area and no refrigeration or ability to heat onsite) Recommended Gear: • Weather-appropriate clothing: hot / cold weather (i.e., hats, jackets, gloves) • Sun screen if desired • Any needed medical equipment or medication • Firearms-related equipment (extra mags, extra ammo, gun belt / battle belt)
